About Me
As a birth worker, Pongella is dedicated to ensuring that every woman receives the support she needs in the most comfortable way possible during and after childbirth. She enjoys working closely with expectant mothers, offering her assistance one step at a time. A graduate of Cardinal Stritch University, she also completed nursing courses at Bryant & Stratton College in 2019.
Pongella has been a Certified Doula through DONA since 2015 and is certified in Infant and Adult CPR, as well as being a childbirth educator. With over 11 years of experience, she specializes in supporting expectant mothers throughout their labor, postnatal, and postpartum journeys, helping them recover, bond with their newborns, and heal in a stress-free environment.
In addition to her professional role, Pongella is a loving mother to two daughters, aged 8 and 25. Her passion for helping mothers and newborns began early when she volunteered at a youth center and daycare, where she had the chance to work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Beyond providing exceptional prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, she also offers sibling care, focusing on families with multiple children. Pongella takes pride in delivering the highest quality doula support to each client she serves.

Ms. Welch was there for my delivery, and after my delivery. I feel so blessed to have had her there by my side. Ms. Welch made sure that my voice my wants and needs were heard. She help me stay strong through delivery. She also made me feel so proud of myself, and bringing my baby girl into this world. My baby girl stop breathing at one point and Ms. Welch help me through thanksgiving me hope and made sure I know I did nothing wrong and my baby girl would make it through. She let me know and showed me in many ways that she was there to support me. She praised me, and still to this day praises me for being the mother, I am, she is always there when I need her even if it’s just for advice. I love my Doula as if she were family. Even now, as I go through the worst experience in my life with my son newly diagnosed with cancer, she supports me with advice praise and gives me so many resources to make it easy for me and my children.
